In hope that you are still designing-I might add that you should put alot more effort into your maps; elevation and terrain variation for starters. Its good to see that I'm not the only one with plans to make scenairos for HG, but there could be some work done here. I enjoy your scenairos, but they mainly need alot of map focus... Thats where it hurts you most.[Edited on 02/12/07 @ 04:26 PM]

Playability: 3
Rather decent. 9 large obelisks, defeat of the Nubians, and some trading for this scenairo. This is quite a hastily made work though... A much too large and plain grass map is laid out for you, with a little straight river in the corner. Sure, its big, but everywhere on the river its the exact same thing. Resources are placed rather randomly, and village huts are crammed into forests. It really is dull and nothing special of a game. The world events are fine and plentiful, easily the high point here, but yet some sad unoriginality (think of some new names please?) and not very creative at least for most. It's very expansive, much more than the built-in ones. What this scenairo does do is require you to make a large city... And maintain it. With all the shortcomings, its no more than average. It's not a piece of junk that can't be played, so this isn't a 1 as it is tolerable to most extent. It just isn't very interesting. A much smaller map would have worked much better here, speed up the game alot-try that. Otherwise, its nothing new really... But still a decent challenge in most aspects.
Balance: 3
Although it takes alot of time, this isn't too difficult. With no real threats by a few silly raiders, you are free to do whatever you want... Practice planning, create an eye-candiful city, anything. No challenges or obstacles, all free-hand. It is actually quite nice... Since everything works perfectly and you have lots of room, this is quite leisurely. Great planning practice and lots of worldly things going about.
Creativity: 2
This scenairo could have quite possibly have been made in a couple hours or so. Besides that goofy hippo ballet, its just a jumble of resources laid out across a mostly blank map. The world map is very well done, not terribly original, but quite expansive and kept the player busy. Needs a bit of work on the story and alot on the map.
Map Design: 2
An enormous grass map with random resources, and not to mention a cliffed desert in one corner. A 2 that is deeply deserved... Try starting out using smaller maps.
It isn't a 1 as everything is fully functional.
Story/Instructions: 2
There are objectives as I see, but story is one line of text, and the tip is to "protect my city". Please, please, please. All thats needed is a paragraph or two! Maybe explain the hippo ballet? Or why the map is so blank? Some more backstory could have been added here. There were some messages given throughout the game made by the author, and this added somewhat. This is a 2--needs a little more work.
Additional Comments: Not a piece of trash, but not a piece of work either. Spend more time designing, and try to use maps that are a bit smaller so they don't look so bad.
